James Mortimer is reading to Holmes and Watson a legend about Baskervilles. The legend tells, that a house in a moor district was inhabited by a family called Baskerville. All this people from the family, which were living in the house, were dying by a tragic death. Mortimer saw footprints in the moor, which were near by the crime scene.
